Stourport Manor Hotel
How We Sold Out Two Bonfire & Fireworks Events with Meta Ads
The client
Stourport Manor Hotel is a well-known hotel and events venue in Worcestershire, hosting weddings, live entertainment, seasonal events and large-scale family experiences throughout the year.
One of the venue’s flagship annual events is their Bonfire & Fireworks Night, a large outdoor family experience featuring fireworks, lasers, street food, music, fairground rides and entertainment across the hotel grounds.
Driven by Digital partnered with Stourport Manor Hotel to support the growth and promotion of the event through paid social advertising and event marketing consultancy, helping drive awareness, improve ticket momentum and maximise attendance.
Following the success of previous years, demand became so strong that in 2025 the venue made the decision to expand from one Bonfire Night event into two separate event nights, both of which sold out successfully.

The task
The Bonfire & Fireworks Night had already become a popular local event, but with increasing competition from surrounding seasonal attractions and family experiences, the venue needed a more structured digital marketing strategy to continue scaling successfully.
The key challenges included:
• Driving strong ticket momentum early
• Managing demand while controlling ad spend efficiently
• Standing out in a crowded seasonal market
• Building campaigns that appealed to local families and groups
• Creating urgency around limited-capacity ticket sales
• Positioning the event as a full evening experience rather than “just fireworks”
With demand continuing to grow year-on-year, the challenge eventually evolved into scaling the event large enough to justify two separate event nights while maintaining profitability and sell-out momentum.
The Strategy
Full-Funnel Meta Campaigns
We built a Meta-focused campaign strategy designed to generate awareness early before transitioning into conversion-focused campaigns closer to the event dates.
Campaigns focused heavily on:
• Local audience targeting
• Family-focused messaging
• Retargeting previous attendees and warm audiences
• Urgency-led sales campaigns
• Video and atmosphere-led creatives
The campaigns were paced carefully throughout the launch cycle to avoid overloading budgets too early while still building strong momentum.
Experience-Led Creative Strategy
One of the biggest priorities was showcasing the scale and atmosphere of the event itself.
Rather than simply advertising fireworks, campaigns leaned heavily into:
• Firework and laser footage
• Fairground rides and entertainment
• Street food and outdoor bars
• Crowd atmosphere and family moments
• Autumn and Bonfire Night visuals
• Scarcity messaging as ticket tiers sold through
This helped position the event as one of the area’s standout family experiences during Bonfire season.
Scaling Demand Into Two Events
As campaigns continued to perform strongly and demand increased year-on-year, the venue made the decision in 2025 to expand the concept into two separate event nights instead of one.
We supported this through:
• Ticket pacing and budget management
• Scaling campaigns without increasing CPA significantly
• Audience segmentation across dates
• Retargeting previous attendees
• Monitoring demand and campaign momentum closely throughout launch
The result
The campaigns delivered another hugely successful year for Stourport Manor Hotel’s Bonfire & Fireworks Night events.
Results included:
✅ 13.2x Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
✅ Expansion from one event night to two in 2025
✅ Both event nights sold out successfully
✅ Over 1.8 million local ad impressions delivered
✅ Strong early ticket momentum and campaign engagement
✅ Increased awareness for Stourport Manor’s wider events offering
Most importantly, the event has evolved from a popular local fireworks display into a major seasonal family attraction capable of selling out multiple large-scale event nights through structured event marketing and paid social strategy.
