Supporting 20+ Event Campaigns at One of the UK’s Leading Warehouse Venues
The client
Beaver Works is one of Leeds’ most iconic underground music venues, known for its industrial warehouse setting, multi-room event spaces and large-scale rave culture.
Operating since 1998, the venue has built a strong reputation within the UK electronic music scene, regularly hosting techno, drum & bass, house and immersive warehouse events across its four indoor spaces and outdoor areas.
Alongside its own in-house events, Beaver Works also works with a wide range of independent promoters and touring brands, making consistent event marketing and campaign performance critical across multiple genres and audiences.
Driven by Digital partnered with Beaver Works to support both the venue’s internal events and external promoter campaigns through paid social advertising and event marketing consultancy.
The task
As one of Leeds’ busiest independent event venues, Beaver Works needed support managing and scaling paid social campaigns across a large volume of events throughout the year.
The challenge was balancing multiple promoters, genres and target audiences while maintaining profitable campaigns and consistent ticket sales across the calendar.
Key challenges included:
• Supporting multiple promoters with different goals and audiences
• Improving consistency across campaign structures
• Managing ad spend efficiently across large event volumes
• Increasing ticket momentum for venue-led events
• Standing out in a highly competitive nightlife market
• Scaling campaigns while maintaining strong ROAS
The venue also needed a marketing partner who understood underground music culture and the behaviour of electronic music audiences rather than applying generic e-commerce marketing strategies to nightlife events.
The Strategy
Multi-Event Campaign Management
We worked closely with the Beaver Works team to manage paid social campaigns across both internal venue events and external promoter shows.
This included:
• Meta ad campaign management
• Event launch strategy
• Budget pacing and allocation
• Audience targeting and retargeting
• Campaign optimisation across multiple genres
• Creative direction and testing
Because of the volume of events running through the venue, campaigns needed to be structured carefully to avoid audience overlap and wasted spend while still maintaining momentum across the calendar.
Creative-First Event Marketing
One of the biggest focuses was improving creative variation and ensuring campaigns matched the identity of the underground music scene.
Campaigns leaned heavily into:
• Live rave footage
• Crowd-energy content
• Artist clips and DJ moments
• Dark, immersive warehouse visuals
• UGC and atmosphere-led creatives
• Short-form video content designed for high engagement
Rather than over-polishing campaigns, the focus was keeping the content authentic to the culture and audience Beaver Works attracts.
Event Marketing Consultancy & Venue Support
Alongside paid media management, we also provided ongoing consultancy around:
• Event launch pacing
• Ticket sale strategy
• Budget forecasting
• Audience segmentation
• Scaling larger events
• Improving consistency across promoter campaigns
This helped create a more structured and predictable approach to ticket sales while giving both the venue and promoters clearer visibility around campaign performance.
The result
Since partnering with Driven by Digital, Beaver Works has continued to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s leading underground warehouse venues while improving the consistency and scalability of its event marketing.
Results included:
✅ 5.2x average Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
✅ Over 1.2 million ad impressions delivered
✅ Support across 20+ events and campaigns
✅ Improved ticket momentum across internal and promoter-led events
✅ More consistent campaign structures and audience targeting
✅ Stronger performance across multiple music genres and audiences
Most importantly, Beaver Works was able to build a more scalable and reliable paid marketing system while maintaining the authentic underground identity the venue is known for.
