The client

Tidal Rum is a golden-aged coastal craft rum, infused with the subtle truffle flavour of Jersey’s Pepper Dulse, a rare sea botanical that can only be gathered at the furthest reaches of a full moon tide. The brand's target audience includes rum enthusiasts, adventurers, and those who appreciate finely crafted beverages with a touch of nautical inspiration.

The task

Tidal Rum approached our marketing agency with the goal of increasing brand awareness, expanding its online presence, and ultimately driving sales through a paid social media campaign within Q3 & 4.

The client sought to leverage the captivating visual appeal of their products, as well as their commitment to sustainable practices, to resonate with their target audience and stand out in a competitive market.  Here's an overview of our strategy and execution:

Audience Segmentation: We conducted thorough market research to identify key demographics that aligned with Tidal Rum's brand values and product offerings. We segmented the audience into two main categories: rum enthusiasts and adventure seekers with an interest in premium spirits.

Platform Selection: Based on the audience segmentation, we chose to focus primarily on Instagram and Facebook, as these platforms offered a visually engaging format to showcase Tidal Rum's products and story.

Compelling Visual Content: We created a series of visually appealing posts and advertisements that highlighted Tidal Rum's unique packaging, the craftsmanship behind each bottle, and the inspiration drawn from the sea. High-quality images and videos were combined with storytelling captions to create an emotional connection with the audience.

A/B Testing: We conducted A/B tests on various ad formats, captions, and targeting options to identify the most effective combinations for engagement and conversions.

The result

Revenue Uplift: The targeted advertisements and collaborations drove high-value traffic to Tidal Rum's online store, resulting in a 7000% increase in online sales generated via a healthy 7.8x (Return on ad spend) ROAS throughout the campaign. 

Engagement and Follower Growth: The campaign led to a substantial increase in engagement across all social media platforms. Tidal Rum's follower count grew by 17% during the campaign period, indicating an expanding and engaged online community.
